Gilbert C. Carpenter, Sr., C.S.B. served as Mary Baker Eddy's Associate Secretary for one year at her beloved home in Pleasant View, from March, 1905 to March, of 1906. At the time he was to leave after his year of service to Mrs. Eddy, she said to him, "Gilbert, it is like taking my heart out to let you go. During your time here you have not committed a single moral offense."
Gilbert and his son became preservationists of one of the largest bodies of inspiring recollections and sacred history concerning Mary Baker Eddy and the then burgeoning cause of Christian Science. In the mid-1940s they established a foundation to support this vital mission to preserve such important work. Healing Unlimited is pleased to make available virtually everything that the Carpenters published, as we have for over a decade.
